Fashion Tip: Dressing for Your Body

I want to share some quick tips with you all.

1. If you want to elongate your torso and create a slimming effect, opt for a top with vertical stripes.
The top I am wearing was thrifted. It is from forever 21. It had a tag on it, brand new, priced at $19.80. I bought it for $3.99. It was a steal. 


2. Pick tops with patterns, or bows to take attention away from your bust
The last thing you want to do is draw attention to your bust. What I love the most about this shirt is the bow. It covers my bust and the stripes are so busy that you don't even notice my bust :) What's more, it already has a high neck line. I love when I don't have to layer!


3. If you have to wear heels to work, opt for a lower heel with a unique touch.
My hubby picked these out for me from Nine West. I love the vintage touch of the laces. I bought a black pair and a tan pair. They are comfortable and very feminine. 


 4. Remember that skinny belts are your best friend!
They are a quick way to accessorize your outfit. Furthermore, they don't grab on to any trouble sections (waist, stomach, back, etc) to make you look like your belt is suffocating you! Skinny belts are flattering for all shapes and they are classy! The key is to NOT tie it too tight! 


 5. Add a pop of color to your outfit to keep it fun and feminine!
You can do this in many ways- shoes, a belt, a purse, a blazer, a scarf, etc. Try to break out of the "matchy-matchy" black skirt and a color habit. It is an easy go to. But it shouldn't be an every day thing.
