I often get questions about what I use on my skin. I would like to share with you all my regimen, and how it has literally changed my "skin" life :)
Before I go any further, check out a before and after picture:

Notice the before pic on the left, my skin is clear but the color is dull and my skin looks dry. However in the after pic on the right, my skin is glowing, looks moist, supple and dewey.
So, what do I do?
I go to an esthetician. They are MUCH different from dermatologists.
Estheticians are licensed Skin Care Specialists who treat the facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance.
Estheticians work to achieve their customers’ beautifying goals through the following tasks:
-Analyze customer’s skin care needs.
-Discuss treatments and products with clients.
-Use a magnifying lamp or visor.
-Perform facials to cleanse pores and improve skin tone.
-Apply chemical peels to reduce fine lines and age spots.
-Perform simple extractions to remove blackheads.
-Remove unwanted facial hair using depilatory wax.
-Tint eyebrows.
-Instruct customers on skin care and makeup techniques.
-Sterilize equipment and clean work area.
-Massage the face.
-Select and apply cosmetic products such as creams, lotions, and tonics.
Where did I find one?
Church! One of my close friends works as an esthetician! She is amazing :) and she gives church people discounts.

Church! One of my close friends works as an esthetician! She is amazing :) and she gives church people discounts.
What does she do?
She gives me facials once every 6 weeks. I pay $30 to go. Normally the price is closer to $85-90. So it's a major deal.
What does the facial consist of?
Every facial is different. But she begins by closely examining my face under a magnifying glass and bright light. My eyes are covered of course! She is able to see the condition of my skin and decide what I need for that day. Usually it is a double cleanse, and then a light chemical peel. After that she moisturizes, massages my face, back, neck, arms and hands. It's amazing! Spa music, candles, I'm under a quilt blanket with a heated bed. Ahhh it's bliss!!! The entire facial generally takes an hour.
What products do I use?
The products she gives me are from the line called, glothereputics. My starter kit was $110 for a cleanser, pumpkin enzyme scrub, moisturizer with a built in SPF and a refreshing mist. That is not expensive for how long it lasts and for the results it gives!
Currently I am using a cleanser, an acid, a moisturizer, sunscreen and refreshing mist.
What is my regimen?
Morning: cleanse in the shower (60 seconds), moisturize and apply my sunscreen. I like to spritz on my refreshing mist for the dewy look.
Throughout the day: Usually after lunch I spritz with my refreshing mist for a booster in moisture
Evening: I cleanse, apply my acid and go to bed!

Why is it worth it to me?
As Apostolics, we don't wear make up. God created us in His likeness and image- so what we are is beautiful! We don't need to paint our faces. That is what harlots and prostitutes did in the bible. We don't want to fashion ourselves after the world. Furthermore make up damages your skin, and causes you to age more rapidly. So from a practical and spiritual stand point it's a no-no.
With that said, I want to take care of my skin. The same passion I have about healthy hair, Organic/Natural products, is the same passion I have for my skin now. Furthermore when the world looks at me I want to represent a beautiful, Godly woman inside and out. And if I spent hundreds of dollars on make up before I got into church, this small sacrifice for nice skin is worth it to me!
