What have I learned about my hair this month? No sleep, late nights and being busy makes me not want to do my hair. I am learning how to kick it out of lazy mode and make sure I look like a beautiful, modest lady every single day. That includes presentable and cute hair :) Now I wasn't going out with my hair looking crazy but I was just wearing a lot of buns for a while. And super simple isn't really my style.
I don't think classy and simple are synonymous terms. Classy is looking so elegant and lady-like that it looks simple. Simple is plain. I aim to be classy.
What new products have I used? I recently started using Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion by Organic Root Stimulator and I am very hapy with that.
I have re-fallen in love with my old and faithful vinegar rinse. It keeps my hair so nice and silky.
I have tried a new Citrus hair shampoo from Trader Joes which I strongly dislike. So I am going back to my first love, tea tree tingle.
What products do you have your eye on? I need a good deep conditioner. Usually I do at home treatments (banana mask, etc). But because I have so much going on, I don't have time to mix up my own. So I need a good one. Jen has suggested one that I will probably be picking up next week!
Have you noticed any growth? YES I have. Of course when you see your hair everyday you don't notice growth until you look back at pictures or something like that. So about a week ago when I finished washing my hair I asked my husband to pull it down and see the length it stretched to. He was like, "omw babe it is so long!!" He told me the length ... and I will leave that a secret until I straighten it next week for Easter! But it is growing!!!
Advice of the month:
It pays to do the right thing. It pays to keep your hair long. It pays to be obedient to God by not cutting your hair. The payback for me spiritually has been huge this month. My hair is an investment to my prayer life - I have the power of angels on my side!
