Hair Tip# 19: 6 Reasons Why Tea and Hair Go Together

6 reasons why tea and hair go together!

1. A black tea rinse is quite beneficial to your hair. It adds shine, helps to increase the bulk of your hair, slow down hair fall and it helps to enhance hair growth. If you would like to incorporate this into your hair regimen: brew two cups of black and tea and apply the rinse to your freshly washed hair. It is said to darken your hair color, so be careful you how often you do this. You don’t want to change the color of your locks!

2.  Drinking green tea can help fight off as well as prevent hair loss. I don't know about you but this one sold me :)

3. One of the most powerful antioxidants in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Studies have tested EGCG on hair strands and how found that it increases hair growth and strand elongation. In other words, they noticed significant enough growth to note it.

4. Using a green tea rinse or an organic (most importantly sulfate free) shampoo/conditioner containing green tea helps soothe dandruff and the irritation created by psoriasis.

5. Green tea contains vitamin C which guards against damage from UV radiation. It also has vitamin E which restores dry and damaged hair.

6. Green tea contains panthenol which is a provitamin that strengthens hair, softens hair and prevents split ends.
