Summer Protective Styles: Twisted Side Pin Curls with a Swoop

Hello ladies! I was on vacation this week with my husband at Catalina Island. We had a blast :) However, when I am on vacation I am not interested in spending tons of time on my hair. I just want to be free to have a good time. On the last day we were there, I rinsed my hair for about 10 minutes in the shower, applied kinky curly knot today and sealed with oil. Then I proceeded to do this style:
I took a section in the front, and did 5 large twists. Then I did a flat twist on each side of my head going back. I used bobby pins to secure the swoop and to pin back the flat twists.

You can see one of the flat twists pulled back into my buns. For the back I pulled my hair into three side pony tails. Then I did 1-3 large twists in each pony tail and pin curled it down. These were also secured with bobby pins.

Its a bit dark, but here is a back view!

One more side view. This style took me 15-20 minutes to do. It turned out great!
