Reader Response: Hair Care and Styling by Jayne

Hello everyone, meet Jayne! A beautiful natural, apostolic who wants to share her styling tips with you all!

1. What products do you use on your hair?

Shampoo and conditioner: silk elements olive oil

Leave in conditioner: motions

Hair moisturizer: palmers olive oil hairdress, lustrasilk olive oil,

Hollywood beauty olive Creme Hair sheen: organic root stimulator olive oil

As you can see I stick to products that include olive oil! [=

2. What is your current regimen?

I wouldn't say I have a strict regimen. I work around my schedule, so depends on if I'm busy or not. I try to wash my hair once a week with shampoo. I also deep condition at this time. While looking into taking care of curly hair, I have found that it is better to co-wash so I will be co-washing more often. I have also decided to switch to no-poo shampoo.

After I wash and deep condition, I detangle my hair. I braid my hair applying oil and leave-in conditioner. As a result, most of my styles are created from a braid out. I apply leave-in conditioner every other day so that my hair doesn't loose its moisture and if the curls are coming out I will re-braid my hair. I would like to start trying twist outs since they seems easier and faster, also protective styles where my hair is in an up-do vs. down freely. I think that covers my regimen [=

3. Is your hair fully natural or are you transitioning?

Fully natural I have not used any permanent chemicals in my hair. Now I'm no longer using heat as well to straighten my hair.

4. What are your favorite styles?

I love the braid out that is probably my favorite. I like trying it on wet and dry hair. The hair texture comes out different both ways!

Sometimes I leave it down, other times I pin it up and style it! It's fun and versatile. I'm still getting use to wearing my hair natural so I'm trying many different styles and I'm loving it!

Thanks for sharing Jayne! How has this post helped you? What do you think about Jaynes hair?
