For Mommies: Finding Inspiration to Style Your Daughters Hair

Hello everyone! I decided to start a new series that zeros in on mothers who have little girls with natural hair. This series won't be limited to just African American hair... I also would like to include bi-racial hair. For one, lots of mommies with bi-racial children are clueless on styles and because their children's hair is so different, it can be extremely difficult to find products, styles and help! Furthermore my future children will be bi-racial so I need to start my research as well:)

So let's get started...

Meet Skyleigh!
She is half Panamanian and half Hispanic. They attend my church. She has gorgeous hair. Thick, curly, long.. But it is very different! I suggested some styles for her mom to try based on this awesome blog.

Here is one of the styles I suggested:

And here is Skyleigh rocking the same style:
Major kudos to her mom! It's gorgeous, age appropriate and Sky loved it!!

My advice: don't feel like your daughters hair is limited! Find inspiration and then make it your own. If your daughter sees a style and tells you she wants her hair that way, do your best to create a similar, or the same style! She will love it and will grow up feeling confident and happy about her hair.

Do you ever have issues styling your daughters hair? What challenges have you faced?
